JULIA POSTRZECH
Julia Postrzech is an interior architect and furniture designer with experience across spatial, furniture and lighting design, as well as exhibition coordination and hands-on fabrication. She has a strong interest in concept-led projects, material thinking and clear spatial identity.
Julia completed her bachelor’s degree in interior and furniture design at Technological University Dublin (2021), followed by a master’s degree in interior architecture at Aalto University (2026). Her initial work focused on public interior architecture, but since has continued into furniture and lighting design.
In her own work, she collects ideas from observations and materials she works with. Intrigued by human psychology, behaviour and perceptions, she tries to bring these thoughts into the physical objects and spaces. Julia’s current designs focus on working in steel metals with simplified expressions.

This Lamp Has Feelings
This collection, with subtle references to the human body, uses our imagination and our innate behaviour of attaching human likeness to a non-human. Each lamp represents a couple that is non-verbally communicating with one another, and through their specific body language, they reveal a human emotion. The lamps only let us in to observe, and we can only guess, wonder or assume what they are thinking or feeling.
